The BT thing is hotting up again...

folk are complaining to ofcom about the BT serviceWow, comments are pouring in on the old is BT still shit? post. One guy even gave an update twice today.

Could BT have a class action heading its way? Does anything actually happen when you write to Ofcom?

I wonder... oh, and I love that graphic from the Ofcom site. At first glance I thought it meant download the podcast of complain to Ofcom how very hip;-)

OMG BT are simply ignorant and misleading.they lie and attempt to convince you that the service they provide is great when it is realy a bag of ****.i cant believe that these company's get away with their apparant UP TO.... service.even if you recieve 1 meg they will charge you for their up to 8 meg and if you leave you get ripped off and your to be charged for the full 12 months contract that you wont even be recieving.BT ARE **** totally..

Limitus:

Well, today being the 29th of april I went with them approx 3 weeks ago after leaving BEthere broadband and well, here we go...

... connected and thought "cool lets get some gaming done" ...but wait, it's the 10 day stabilising period so yep pings latency yada yada all screwed up. So, like a nice customer I patiently waited the 10 days out... ok the 10 days has passed and the line is stable ahem at a whopping 1.3meg connection on up to an 8 meg order LOL I was with bethere on their 8 meg plan and getting 5.5meg every day and no problems apart from lag in my games. So, for the past 3 weeks we've been phoning them and argueing with them about their sad speeds. Technical advisers and even technical peeps come round to the house to fix my problem which I need to add wasn't the house or wireing lol.

K well yesterday I had 3.6meg from them all day so though great it works well enough for me... but wait, I go to bed wake up and guess what?? 1.3 meg in the morning and the same still. Calling them later and asking for the mac code but still running around looking for a decent unlimited isp.

BT TOTAL CRAP BROADBAND lol eye candy router seems like nothing but a pimped up sack of garbage.

John:

I have the same problem. Every month they disconnect my service (in fact it has gone off and come on again whilst writing this message) and i pay £23 a month for a shit service.

I don't understand how every month i have to ring up a call center in India, tell them that my broadband is off again, and for them to tell me that:
'yes sir we have done a line test and can see there is a fault with the service'.
I know that otherwise i wouldn't be fucking calling you.

I wouldn't bother with them and if i can get a decent connection for more that 5 mins i would be happy.

In fact the connection has been lost 3 times whilst writing this post.
Fucking useless.

clare a:

I thought BT were the best around and how wrong I was. No problems with their telephone line, broadband on the other hand is shit. 3 weeks to get a simple fault sorted, as their indian call centre couldn't fix it over the phone.

When I went to get my money back for loss of service I was offered 3 days. Not the time that I have wasted or the cost of the calls back, being on the phone for 7 hours one day and no offer to call me back.
The best of it, broadband's gone again, and they expect me to pay £150 for a new box that may not work.

Maybe I'm stupid but if their service doesn't work why should I be held to a contract.

I work for one of their rivals but christ me, the crap they have given me is enough to get me fired.

It's now disconnecting their service time, but they wont let you...

d jones:

BT is shit still as is Norwich Union and British Gas.

They are all shit and you shouldn't bother with them for telecommunications. Virgin or Tiscali, British Gas, anybody is better than those thieves/nfu or hiscox insurance are ok no point to insure with nu as they change the policy to suite themselves that's why they never send out a full policy stating what you are covered for and what you are not covered for they are the lowest of the low snake crap avoid like the plague!!!
